The Gospel of
Jesus Christ
the Son of God

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe in the good news!”

Mark 1:15

…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, He was buried, and was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4

God is One

The one and only God is in heaven. God made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female.

Genesis 1:1,27

“I am the LORD your God. Do not have other gods besides Me.”
Exodus 20:2-3

The God who made the world and everything in it is Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in shrines made by hands. Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives everyone life and breath and all things.
Acts 17:24-25

The first man disobeyed God, and sin entered the world. God decreed that sinful mankind must die, and after death face judgment.

“There is no one righteous, not even one. There is no one who does good, there is not even one.”

Romans 3:10,12

For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.
Romans 1:21-23

They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, disputes, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful.
Romans 1:29-31

... it is appointed for people to die once—and after this, judgment—

Hebrews 9:27

Birth of Jesus

God is love. He showed His love for us by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to be the Savior of the world. Although Jesus was essentially one with God, He humbled Himself to be born of a woman and come into the world.

Then the angel told her: “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His name JESUS. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”
Luke 1:30-33

The Word [Jesus] became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

John 3:16-17

The Good News

When Jesus was about thirty years old, He took His disciples with Him and began preaching the good news of the kingdom of heaven in the towns and villages of Judea. He cast out demons with words of authority, healed the sick, and raised the dead.

From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near!”
Matthew 4:17

Jesus was going all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. Then the news about Him spread throughout Syria. So they brought to Him all those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics. And He healed them.
Matthew 4:23-24

The Cross

The Jewish religious leaders hated Jesus and handed Him over to Pilate, the Roman governor. Though Pilate knew they had handed Jesus over because of jealousy, he granted their request and sentenced Jesus to death.

This all happened according to God’s plan and foreknowledge, so that all who believe in Jesus would receive forgiveness of sins through His death on the cross.

He [God] made the One [Jesus] who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:21

He [Jesus] Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; by His wounding you have been healed.
1 Peter 2:24

He [Jesus] was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds. We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the LORD has punished Him for the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:5-6

After treating Jesus brutally, they made Him carry His cross and led Him outside of Jerusalem to the hill called Golgotha. There they crucified Him—nailing His hands and feet to the cross.

“Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
John 1:29

... and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Hebrews 9:22

For by one offering He [Jesus] has perfected forever those who are sanctified.
Hebrews 10:14

“Anyone who believes in Him [Jesus] is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.”
John 3:18

The Resurrection

Jesus died and was buried in a tomb, but rose from the dead on the third day.

For I [the apostle Paul] passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. Then He appeared to over 500 brothers at one time, most of whom remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.
1 Corinthians 15:3-6

After He [Jesus] had suffered, He also presented Himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them during 40 days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
Acts 1:3

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die—ever. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25-26

The Ascension

Forty days after rising from the dead, Jesus ascended to heaven. He is now seated at the right hand of God.

Then He [Jesus] said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
Mark 16:15-16

After He [Jesus] had said this, He was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
Acts 1:9

End Times

In the last days, there will be terrible times. There will be earthquakes, famines, and wars in various places, and wickedness will increase.

“You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, because these things must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.”
Matthew 24:6-7, 11-13

Second Coming

Jesus will come back to this world in the near future. The end of the world is coming soon. Jesus will judge all peoples and establish the new kingdom of God.

“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man [Jesus]. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.”
Matthew 24:27, 30-31

When they say, “Peace and security,” then sudden destruction comes on them.
1 Thessalonians 5:3

But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.
2 Peter 3:10

All nations—everybody—will stand before the judgment throne of Jesus. All the dead will be raised and judged.

“Then I [the disciple John] saw a great white throne and One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them. I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books. Then the sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead; all were judged according to their works.”
Revelation 20:11-13

This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His powerful angels, taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. These will pay the penalty of everlasting destruction, away from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strength.
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

“And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Matthew 25:46

All who have not believed in Jesus but have delighted in wickedness will be condemned to eternal punishment in hell.

“But the cowards, unbelievers, vile, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars—their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Revelation 21:8

And anyone not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:15

“And the smoke of their torment will go up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or anyone who receives the mark of his name.”
Revelation 14:11

All who have confessed their sin and believed in Jesus will have eternal life in heaven.

What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, and what has never come into a man’s heart, is what God has prepared for those who love Him.
1 Corinthians 2:9

Look! God’s dwelling is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will exist no longer; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away.
Revelation 21:3-4

Then he showed me the river of living water, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the broad street of the city. On both sides of the river was the tree of life bearing 12 kinds of fruit, producing its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing the nations, and there will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb [Jesus] will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
Revelation 22:1-4

The Gift of Righteousness

But now, apart from the law, God’s righteousness has been revealed—attested by the Law and the Prophets—that is, God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. They are justified freely by His grace* through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God presented Him [Jesus] as an offering of atonement through faith in His blood.
Romans 3:21-25

*grace: The forgiveness and kindness of God shown to us even though we don’t deserve it.

Revelation 14:7

Those who cling to worthless idols forsake faithful love.
Jonah 2:8

“Be reconciled to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9

For He [God] says: “In an acceptable time, I heard you, and in the day of salvation, I helped you.” Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2

“I assure you: Anyone who believes has eternal life.”
John 6:47
